Date: 06/04/2023 < Back

Reflecting the spirit of giving during the Holy Month, SPAR Oman has launched its 6th Ramadan Charity Drive in association with Dar Al Atta’a, at a special event organized at its Madinat Sultan Qaboos branch. Each year, SPAR Oman celebrates the spirit of Ramadan with community-centered initiatives and promotions during the holy month.

Conducted annually in partnership with Dar Al Atta’a, SPAR Oman’s Ramadan Charity Drive aims to nurture a sense of solidarity and foster the spirit of compassion amongst SPAR’s loyal shoppers, employees and the communities it serves. Building on the success of previous years, collection boxes have been placed at 25 SPAR Oman outlets throughout the sultanate, wherein SPAR Shoppers are encouraged to donate non-perishable Ramadan food essentials. The donated supplies will be distributed to lesser privileged families and communities preparing for Eid, by Dar Al Atta’a.

Expressing his pride in the annual campaign’s success, Moosapeta Sridhar, CEO of Consumer Products Goods, KR Group stated: “The Holy Month of Ramadan is an ideal opportunity to reinforce our commitment to the community. Organizing the Ramadan Charity Drive annually holds the core importance of respecting and providing to those who are less privileged and making efforts to give what we can, with the aim of bettering their quality of life during this special month of Ramadan. My team and I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to shoppers who generously donate and support our charity drive during this significant time of the year.”

Dr. Shamsa Al Harthy, CEO of Dar Al Atta’a mentioned: “The Holy Month of Ramadan is a time of sharing, giving, and being compassionate. We are grateful for the contribution and support of SPAR Oman. Their work is an example of great corporate social responsibility year on year; as cooperation of this regard and unified efforts are key to maintaining happier, healthier and sustainable communities.”
